CSS Publications has now released the first issue of our new web journal RETHINKING SCANDINAVIA — CSS Publications Web Quarterly. The aim of the web journal is on the one hand to provide an open and easy access publishing space for Scandinavian Scholars from all over the world, and on the other, to create a platform for the rethinking of the research field as such.

The theme of the issue is "Perspectives on Gunnar Ekelöf" and contains nine essays from a symposium held in Lund in May 2016, a dialogue on the humour in Ekelöfs writings, the concordance of Gunnar Ekelöfs Skrifter and a recording of an event held at Mölna brygga in Stockholm in September 2017.

In accordance with the tradition of Scandianavian Studies, the language of the web journal will vary between the Scandinavian languages and english, depending on the will of the writer and/or the context of the subject.

Upcoming issues will have the following themes:

Theme:

#2 Skandinavisk identitet

#3 Nordens litteratur i världen
