Associate Professor in Nordic Studies
The Faculty of Arts at The University of Helsinki invites applications for the position of assistant/associate professor (tenure track) in Nordic Studies. The position is Swedish-speaking.
In the three-level tenure track, a fixed-term assistant professorship of three to five years leads to an associate professorship of three to five years. When the criteria for granting tenure are met, it culminates in a permanent professorship.

The Centre for Nordic Studies (CENS) at the University of Helsinki is a network for multidisciplinary research on the Nordic Region. CENS engages in academic research and teaching, public debates and policy related knowledge. CENS mission is to be a facilitator and a strong network partner for internationally high class and relevant research on the Nordic Region. CENS is the host of the Nordic consortium ReNEW (Reimagining Norden in an Evolving World: An Excellence Hub in Research, Education and Public Outreach, https://www.helsinki.fi/en/researchgroups/reimagining-norden-in-an-evolv...) during 2018-2023. The core fields of research of CENS and ReNEW include e.g. Nordic cooperation and region-building, rhetorics of Nordic models, Norden as a historical region and Norden as a global brand.
